My writing coaching combines working with your manuscript and working with you. As a writing coach, I:
- Listen deeply, and help you express your thoughts in your voice
- Relieve fears and anxieties about writing
- Help you write more
- Help you enjoy writing more
- Examine your manuscript, and suggest improvements in
- Logical flow
- Word choice
- Spelling
- Grammar
- And anything else I see of use to you
- Always follow the principle of "I suggest, you choose."
- Tell you what you are doing right
How do we do it? We schedule three hour-long phone calls per month. You send me up to 100 pages of standard formatted manuscript per month, and I return it with comments.
What does it cost? $500 per month. More inclusive packages are available by special agreement.
Why would you hire me when your writer's group gives you feedback for free? As a veteran of many writer's groups, I know that the quality and depth of attention you get there is highly variable. I guarantee that my comments will be on-target, on-time, expert, and strictly aimed at helping you write better. I guarantee your satisfaction. If you do not feel I have given you outstanding editing and support, I will return your monthly fee out of my own pocket.
