I have been interested in writing all my life. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English from the Robert D. Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon. I have attended many hours of writing classes, writing workshops, and writing groups, and read dozens of the best writing books.

I am also a writer. I have completed two novels. My poker articles are online at Gutshot.com. I have sold stories, including to Julie Czerneda's anthology Polaris and to Tales of the Talisman. Deadlines no longer hold any dread for me. My newsletter Creating Space goes out regularly twice a month.
And I have always been the kind of person other people come to for support. I formalized that skill by studying with Martha Beck (Oprah Columnist and author of Finding Your Own North Star) and completing her certification process.
